NEWSLETTER No. 21 - APRIL 4th 2006

Dear Readers,

During your travels to the Languedoc in search of the perfect property, you will almost certainly appreciate a restful overnight stop in a hotel or B&B. This newsletter sheds a little light on a small B&B operation beside Clermont l'Hérault, run by a couple of delightful and youthful retirees.

Top property is a very compelling proposition, comprising a main house (a former bergerie), a gite, tennis court and swimming pool on enclosed grounds spanning 6700m² with very extensive views.

Theme of the fortnight: B&B in Clermont l'Hérault, Languedoc

Maureen and Mike Borrett moved to the Languedoc in January 2005 from Argyll, Scotland, where, until late 2004 they operated B&B accommodation.
Being Francophiles through and through, having lived in France previously, and dispirited by the Scottish weather, they decided to up sticks and move to the sunshine. First contact was made with James Properties in June 2004. By October they had found the property of their dreams, an atypical villa on a verdant hillside beside Clermont l'Hérault with ample character and a swimming pool. After a busy 2005, they finally have the time to settle down and resume their B&B activities.

The house offers two ground floor bedrooms both with direct access to the terrace. The first has a double bed, and a full bathroom. The second has both a double bed on a mezzanine, and a day bed at ground level, and beside a shower room.

There is a mature and peaceful garden with swimming pool and ample parking facilities. Maureen and Mike will make you feel at home and share their experiences of France.

Location and Places of Interest: Within walking distance, the market town of Clermont. The beautiful town of Pezenas with its Renaissance town houses is a 20 minute drive. The Lac du Salagou, offering facilities for a number of water sports is 4 miles, reachable by car, bicycle or on foot. Also of interest locally is St. Guilhem-le-Désert, the Hérault gorges, the Cirque de Mourèze, Villeneuvette, Gignac, Aniane, and many pretty villages.
